City of Angels

Here, in the City of Angels I always feel blessed to be with my children and friends. It’s Saturday  and my daughter and future son-in -law are house hunting. While they’re busy I contemplate music streaming through my head. I reflect on my Shindig days when my musical family and I broadcasted good vibrations all across this country of ours. I fondly recall a great guitarist, James Burton whom I met when I was only 8 years old. We made music together through the 80’s. Hello James, wherever you are.

My new friend, Jenine and I are doing a spa day. I am trusting the decision to go to her favorite one. Always feel like a limp noodle after a massage, do you?

My grand dog, Lola will have to be content with her ‘world’ toy from me when she has the house to herself. She sleeps with it in her mouth and when mommy or daddy try to take it away she growls (in her sleep). Of course I gave her the world!

Here’s hoping you are having a peaceful and productive weekend.

One Response to City of Angels

  1. Dave says:

    Hi Donna,

Of the Donna Loren style, the singer says, “Anatomically, connect your heart with your throat and breathe from your center. Then put your emotions into it”.

You really do know how to sing your heart out Donna.

Ordered your new CD today on your website, so you do write your own great songs too.

I am age 57 from Akron, Ohio originally and love to write songs from the 1960s.

Why? Because the 1960s is the decade of the most love songs ever written. Every decade a new generation of teenagers create their own kind of romance music. As they go through their puberty, and search among their peers for their one and only true love.

1960 – 1969 Baby Boomers Turn Teenagers – Most Ever Teenagers in a Decade
Why ? – All teenagers wanted love and peace not war and they sang for it.
1993 – 2009 Teenager Suicides have Tripled songs of death very high in their peer music

2010 – 2019 Baby Boomers Turn Sixty Retire to Teach their grand teenagers Love Songs

Baby Boomers, now retired, can teach their grand teenagers that they can write love songs and play their music that they love and want to be herd and understood All teenagers want to know for sure that they are loved and accepted by their peers of their generation.

Among the Young > Teenagers > First Loves > New Feelings > Create New Words >
    > New Songs > Create New Music > Learn New Dances > Great Exercise >
    > Happiness really can be self-generated Among the Young

Good luck on your radio interview on Saturday May 9,2009. I will record it next week please be yourself for us 1960s people. I will be going to Atlanta, GA to see the British Invasion concert with my wife, Bonnie and son, John, a Marine SGT age 27. Here is the link to the concert: http://www.reallybigproductionsinc.com/

Happy Mother’s Day Donna – Enjoy Yourself
